"This is the stretchiest, warmest soft shell I've Ever worn, and I say that for no other reason than I believe it's true. When paired with just a single base-layer shirt, this is the only jacket I need for everything from backcountry skiing to moderate mixed and ice climbs. The stretchiness results from a new method of attaching the jacket's synthetic Primaloft PL Sport insulation to it's Polartec Power Shield shell. Whereas most jackets in this category attach insulation to shell via quilting, currently only Westcomb has figured out how to laminate the two fabrics together at every point of contact. The jacket moves with me as if I've grown polar-bear skin.
