The retractable Fritschi Diamir Axion Crampons are a revolutionary concept in alpine touring ski crampons. They mount in seconds, deploy with the flick of a ski pole and deactivate with the push of a pole tip. They can be mounted at the start of a tour so you don't have to stop mid-slope to fit crampons. On long, exposed traverses or refrozen, straight-up ski tracks, flip down the tempered tines to dig into hard snow.

If you come to a downhill section, use your pole to flip the crampons back underfoot until needed again. These are compatible only with 2004 and later Fritschi Diamir Freeride, Explore and Express bindings.
