The Edelrid Eddy belay device has established itself in the climbing world since its introduction in 2005. This Edelrid rope belay device is designed predominantly for sport and indoor climbing. The Edelrid Eddy is simple and safe, easy to thread with the climbing rope following logically the rope flow. A controlled descent with an emergency break system on this belay device eliminates the "panic pull" syndrome which can lead to serious climbing accidents. The Eddy provides maximum safety whether top roping or lead climbing with easy paying out of rope to the leader. For use with single ropes from 9 to 11 mm diameters.
